FALL CLINIC 2023

OVERVIEW:

Northern Lights Juniors is very proud to be able to provide such great opportunities to young men.  We are nationally recognized as a top program in terms of training, achievements and collegiate recruiting.

Northern Lights Junior Volleyball is planning to host up to four boys club teams between the months of September 2023 and January 2024.  Age groups will be determined on your grade and your date of birth.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:

Step 1 is to register before September 12 to participate in the Fall Boys Clinic & League.  Full information about the Clinic & League can be found by clicking here.  Participation in this Clinic & League will entitle you to a tryout for Northern Lights Boys Club Volleyball.

Step 2:  Tryouts for interested players will take place on September 12 and 14 (regular clinic days) as well as on Friday, September 15.  All players will be evaluated on skill level first and age second.

Step 3:  All boys from the clinic will either remain on a Clinic & League team or will be selected to participate on a club volleyball team.  All teams will continue to participate on the same dates as the Clinic & League (ending October 15).

DATES & TIMES:

Tryout/practice dates are:  September 12, 14 and 15

Practice dates are on Tuesdays & Thursdays:  September 19, 21, 26, 28 October 3, 5, 10, 12

Practice times are 6:30pm – 8:30pm (subject to change)

Play dates in the MN Select League are on Sundays:  September 24, October 1, 8, 15

Participants must provide their own transportation to the MN Select facility in Maple Grove, MN.

OUR FACILITY:

All practices take place in one facility – the Midwest Volleyball Warehouse.  The experience of learning from other coaches and athletes becomes the true power of the Warehouse.  Our offices are located right behind the courts.  Communication with players, parents and staff is instantaneous.  Please click here for more information about the Warehouse.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

  • 50% refund before August 15.  No refunds on or after August 15.
  • Requests for full refunds may be granted upon individual written request only in the case of medically documented injury (this means a note from the doctor).
  • All refund requests must be emailed to northernlights@midwestvolleyball.com
  • No refunds or credits shall be made for cancellations due to inclement weather, or circumstances out of our control.
  • No pro-rated fees for missing sessions.

All registration is done online at www.signuptoplay.com.  Please note that every player requires a unique account; siblings may not share an account.

WINTER CLUB 2024

COST:

Northern Lights boys club teams cost will be $1900 (this includes the $350 paid for the Fall Boys Clinic & League).  There is also a possibility that teams may opt to attend an AAU Nationals trip in June 2024 for an additional $1300.

We have no hidden costs and we deliver what we promise!

Player fees will be paid in 5 monthly installments beginning in September.

Payments can be made via credit card.

Our costs include most travel, tournaments and gear.  See below –

PRACTICES:

Teams will have 36 guaranteed practices throughout the season (starting on September 12).  Due to the high demand for court space in the winter, we cannot guarantee a consistent practice day for each week of the winter season.   Current practices are planned for:

October 24, 26, 30

November 1, 6, 8, 17, 19, 20, 21, 26

December 1, 8, 9, 15, 21, 22, 27, 28, 29

January TBD

Please note that these are tentative and could change.  

Practices cancelled for weather or other reasons beyond our control will not be made up.

TOURNAMENTS:

  1. Several smaller local tournaments (Hammerhead Tourney, Eastview Tourney, etc.)
  2. Chicago Tournament (November 11-13, 2023) – includes housing costs, parents are asked to carpool
  3. January Thaw (January 26-28, 2024) – held at the Minneapolis Convention Center
  4. AAU Nationals in Orlando tentative (June 2024) – includes housing and travel costs

GEAR:

Each player will receive a gear package comprised of:

  • 2 practice shirts
  • 2 game jerseys
  • 2 shorts
  • 2 socks
  • 1 kneepads
  • 1 player bag/backpack
