US Junior National Championships – June 26 – July 5, 2021
Northern Lights placed 3 of our 7 teams into the Gold Championship Brackets at the US Junior National Championships and medaled 1 of them. Northern Lights had 3 All Tournament player selections. Congratulations to Northern Lights 14-1 for placing 3rd in the 14 National Division.

AAU National Championships Trip (12s – 17s) | June 16 – 30, 2021
Northern Lights placed 11 of our 22 teams into the Gold Championship Brackets at the AAU National Championships and medaled 6 of them. Two teams were in their division finals, and NL teams won 1 Gold, 1 Silver, and 4 Bronze medals. NL had 14 AAU All Tournament selections.

National Invitational Tournament (NIT) 2021
Our 16-1 team and 17-1 team traveled to Kansas City, MO for the NIT 2021.
Stars & Stripes Classic 2021
Mizuno Northern Lights had 28 teams participate in the first Stars & Stripes Classic Tournament. It was a successful tournament, with 19 of our teams competing in the Gold brackets on Championship Day! Congratulations to the 18-2’s on taking 2nd place in the 18 Open division; a great way to end their season! Congratulations the 7 teams that placed 1st at the Stars & Stripes Classic 2021: 12-1 placed 1st in 13 Club, 13-1 placed 1st in 14 Club, 15-Red placed 1st in 15 Club, 16-Red placed 1st in 16 Club, 15-1 placed 1st in 16 Open, 17-Red placed 1st in 17 Club and 17-2 placed 1st in 17 Open. We are very proud of our teams and their hard work.

Show Me Qualifier 2021
Congratulations to our Northern Lights Teams that competed in the Show Me Qualifier (Kansas City, MO)!
In Week One our 14-1 team placed 7th in 14 Open and our 18-1 team placed 2nd in 18 Open, earning a bid to the USA Girls Junior National Championships!
In Week Two, teams earning a bid included 16-1 (16 Open), 17-2 (17 USA, double qualified), and 17-1 (17 Open). Big congratulations to our 17-2 team for placing 1st in 17 USA and double qualifying for Nationals, as well as going 9-0 on the weekend, and to our 16-Red team for placing 1st in 16 American at the Show Me Qualifier!

NCR-USAV Regional Qualifier 2021
Congratulations to our teams that competed in the NCR-USAV Regional Qualifier 2021! Six of the eight teams earned bids to the USAV Girls Junior National Championship 2021!
Omaha Presidents’ Day Classic 2021
Northern Lights sent 23 teams to Omaha, Nebraska for the 2021 ASICS Omaha Presidents’ Day. Congratulations to the 18-1 team for placing first in the 18 Open division. The 17-2 team took 3rd in 17 USA and earned a bid to nationals!
The 18-2 team took 3rd in 18 USA and earned a bid to nationals!
Congratulations to the 16-1 team for taking 2nd in the 16 Club division of the January Thaw and to the 18-Black, 16-2, 15-1, 15-2, 14-1 and 14-2 teams for taking 3rd in their divisions. Northern Lights had some amazing finishes after just 3 weeks of practice since the teams were formed.
