Northern Lights Setter Academy 2024

High intensity sessions geared toward the setter position led by lead coach Dennis “Aame” Amundson.  Sequential curriculum will be used with standards needing to be met to move from one stage to the next.

Junior girls who participate in this Academy must be entering grade 7 or above in Fall 2024.

INTRO:  All players will start here and will report at 4:30pm for their first session.  Players will learn the basics of the position and the skills needed to advance (serving, passing, digging, setting).

INTERMEDIATE:  Once a base level has been tested and approved, players add more tools to their tool belt and start to look across the net at what is coming their way.

ADVANCED:  After an intermediate understanding of the position is established, the ADVANCED track allows players to start eliminating possibilities from their checklist of potential things that can beat their team.

ELITE:  A series of drills are repeated approaching mastery and an ability to play freely.
